Public Notice Bernards Township NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING BERNARDS TOWNSHIP BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT YOU ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED that the undersigned Applicants have filed an application with the Bernards Township Board of Adjustment for variance relief relative to the Applicants' property known as Tax Block 8802, Lot 25 and located at 37 St. Nickolas Way, Basking Ridge, New Jersey, which is located in the R-5 Residential Zone. The Applicants wish to replace an existing screen porch with a new screen porch, to replace the existing wood deck with a composite deck, and to replace a leaning wood tie retaining wall with a modular block retaining wall. The proposed changes, after the removal of some existing impervious features on the property, will result in a net increase in impervious coverage from the existing 16.05% to 16.28%. This will require a bulk variance, as only 15% impervious coverage is permitted in the R-5 Zone. With the exception of the aforementioned variance, the Applicants believe that no other variance, waiver or exception is required in order to grant the approvals requested. However, if the Board of Adjustment directs that additional variance(s), waiver(s) or exception(s) is/are needed, the Applicants may seek the same in accordance with such direction. A copy of the proposed plans and application are on file with the Secretary to the Board of Adjustment and are open for inspection during regular business hours at the office of said Secretary, which is located at 277 South Maple Avenue, Basking Ridge, New Jersey. The application will be considered by the Bernards Township Board of Adjustment on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at 7:30 p.m. at the Bernards Township Municipal Building, Courtroom, 1 Collyer Lane, Basking Ridge, New Jersey 07920. A hearing will be held by the Board at that time during which members of the public will be heard on the matter. The public will also be able to view the meeting live on Optimum/Cablevision TV - Channel 15 and Verizon FIOS TV - Channel 35. The meeting will also be streamed live for those interested in watching on their computers.
